From The Regional Heats In York, To The National Final In Stratford.
We had one hell of a journey competing in the 2022 Young Market Traders competition...
Here's what happened
In 2022 we decided to take part in our first competition, the 'Young Traders Market' for business owners under the age of 30.
Not knowing what to expect, we went into the first regional round, hosted on the iconic York Shambles, with no expectations other than hoping to gain some experience from the opporuntiy. But at the end of the day of trading we were invited back to take part in the Regional Final.
A month later, we headed to Doncaster & much to our suprise we were awarded 'Highly Comended' in the Grocery catagory, which also meant we were heading to Stratford Upon-Avon for the National Final!
We had an incredible two days of trading down south with 90 of the UK's best young traders. There were businesses taking part from England, Wales, Scottland & Northern Ireland - so it's fair to say we were just happy to be there...
But when the time for judging came, our name was called out once more & The Cheesy Living Co. once again received the 'Highly Comended' award, but this time it was a nationally recognised one!
